Our Former Weekend Market Locations
At the weekends we took the produce from our orchards at Nestlebrae on South Head to sell at popular markets. For the information of former customers, this ceased in late 2011.
Brown’s Bay Market
Rosemary could be found at the Brown’s Bay Market, almost every Sunday morning from 7 till noon, for something like 12 years (as a rough estimate.) John is in the photo, and was giving her a day’s rest.
Orewa Farmers’ Market
For 4 and a 1/2 years John was at the Orewa Farmers’ Market on Sunday mornings. This is a much smaller market, but it’s all about meeting people producing food and plants that come from their own resources, and who are passionate about what they are doing. Now that he lives near Kerikeri John is no longer there, but he certainly recommends a visit to it still. His stall is at the far left of this photo.
